Today we bring you the official height and weight measurements of the NHL Draft prospects at the 2017 NHL Draft Combine.  These are important as there have been many junior teams who have been known to fudge the numbers on their official website, or roster lists.  Other teams measure the height and weight of these teenagers at the beginning of the year, and do not update throughout the season, something that is sure to lead to errors as these young men continue to grow and fill out.

  1. I thought Mittelstadt was 6’01, damn. His package of skills sounded better with that frame. What are those guys answering when they’re being asked about it ? It surely doesn’t look good !

Mittelstadt is 5’11-1/2, reality for him has set-in this weekend. Add that to the fact that he did not do a single chin-up, and it is not a positive overall feedback from my perspective.

Can these aspects affect his stock Ben ?

    • Personally I don’t think an inch and a half is a big deal.

As for Chin-ups… Sam Bennett couldn’t do one either and he went fourth overall.

There are two ways to look at this, and you will get teams who take both perspectives.

      1) Some teams worry about work-ethic, off-ice training, commitment and character. You know the combine is coming, youve had over a month since your last game, and you didn’t train for it??

      2) Other teams will go…. look this kid is a wimp, and he still dominates his age group due to natural athletic ability and talent. What happens when we get him on a proper nutrition program and proper training. He’s got so much more room to grow cause he’s doing everything wrong and still plays well. Imagine when we have him doing the right things.
